#VictoryMonday: Fournette scores 2 TD's as Bucs beat Panthers

It's felt like an eternity since the Bucs last celebrated a win when in reality their last win came in Week 15 against the Lions. After letting the loss settle in from last week, the Bucs rebounded in a huge way and it showed against the Panthers on Sunday.

The ground game shines in Week 2

Leonard Fournette did exactly what the Bucs brought him in to do and that is run the ball and get in the endzone. It's been a while since the Bucs have seen a running back hit the century mark on the ground. Before Fournette's 103-yard performance, you'd have to go back to 11/18/2018 in a game against the Giants when Peyton Barber rushed for 106-yards and a touchdown in a 35-30 loss.

Fournette, who signed a little over 2 weeks ago, showed out in his debut in front of an empty Raymond James Stadium. His performance has created the question if he will be the lead back moving forward or if there will still be a continuous rotation. Along with Fournette's ground attack, Ronald Jones II also had a productive day with 23-yards and a touchdown on seven rushes. Not all was peachy though as McCoy seems to be the odd man out as of now with -5 rush yards in his single attempt, he also dropped a touchdown pass late in the game.

Defense continues to grow and it's showing

It's no secret the Bucs have a young secondary as was the story last season but don't tell any of them that because they all look like veterans out there with how they are playing. Granted there is still plenty of room for growth, but this defense is looking really good. There is definitely room for growth after surrendering 367-yards to Teddy Bridgewater but was able to keep the receivers out of the endzone while collecting 2 INTs along with 5 sacks and 2 Forced Fumbles.

Rookie Antoine Winfield Jr showed plenty of promise once again as he was all over the field making plays landing second on the team with 11 total tackles and a sack. The young safety is definitely showing why the Bucs chose him in the 2nd round out of the University of Minnesota. Leading tackler Devin White racked up 15 total tackles once again showing why he is a force to be reckoned with. Ndamukong Suh made his presence known recording 5 tackles to go along with his 2 sacks with JPP and Gholston picking up a sack apiece. The earlier mentioned interceptions were brought to you by Carlton Davis and Jordan Whitehead.

Denver, YOU'RE ON THE CLOCK!

Coming up next, the Bucs will be traveling to the Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos but they won't be alone. Coming with them will be some rowdy ass Bucs fans as Denver's own Matt Grisham of Kush Couch Chronicles will be hosting one hell of a watch party that will is rumored to be well worth the trip.

Stay tuned to BucDad's Week 3 Preview for this week's players to watch and Bucs/Broncos prediction.
