Barrett's extension should be priority during off-season

With 3 games remaining in the 2020 season and playoffs an actual chance for the Bucs; it's weird not shifting focus towards the offseason at this point, but that didn't stop me from thinking about one priority the Bucs should be focusing on once the season ends and that's re-signing linebacker Shaq Barrett.

When Tampa Bay signed the former Super Bowl Champion last season, they never expected he would re-write the records books, recording 19.5 sacks and six forced fumbles. Barrett mentioned last season that he "bet on himself" after signing the one-year deal.

Following the 2019-2020 season, Barrett signed his franchise tag for another 1 year/$15.8-million dollar deal. Some questioned if Barrett was worth tagging while other made valid arguments to sign the 6th year Colorado State product to a long-term deal.

In 2020, Barrett has continued to prove that he is worthy of a deal recording 51 tackles, 9 TFL, 8 sacks, and 2 FF while being on the field for 83% of the defense's snaps. If Jason Licht was as smart as he's been acting the last few months, it'd behoove the Bucs to lock Barrett up for roughly $18-million for 3-4 years.

During the last two seasons, Barrett has recorded 27.5 sacks, 8 FF, 109 tackles, and has 51 QB Hits and started in all 29 games. So tell me Glazier's, is he worth the money now?

What are your thoughts #MoochieMob

Is Shaq worth keeping? If so, on what type of terms?
